Hayward
Hayward is located in Sawyer County is in the Northwest corner of Wisconsin. Hayward is 70 miles from Duluth, 100 miles from Eau Claire, and 140 miles from Minneapolis/St.Paul.
The Hayward area is home to about 7,000 of these hard working people. We have lots of space with a population density of less than 12 people per square mile.
The Hayward area hosts two world recognized events— the American Birkebeiner cross-country ski race and the Lumberjack World Championships. This international influence creates a community with worldly awareness not found in a typical rural town.
