Bloomer
Originating in the early 1850s, Bloomer has been a seat of rural life for a very long time. Also known as the Rope-Jumping Capital of the World, Bloomer offers the charm and safety of small town living within easy driving distance of Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls and Rice Lake.
Now a city of about 3500 people, Bloomer has the Bloomer Medical Center, a K-12 school system, a public library, and a city newspaper, the Bloomer Advance. The City of Bloomer also has 3 industrial parks, plenty of shops, restaurants, and businesses that fit the everyday needs of life.
Bloomer, located on the shores of Lake Como in Chippewa County, also offers a golf course, 4 city parts and a beach. The Chippewa Moraine State Park and the Ice Age Trail offer beautiful walking and natural history opportunities.
